Resumen

THE IMMUNITY FROM THE JURISDICTION OF THE FOREIGN OFFICIALS IN CASES CONCERNING HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS: THE SAMANTAR CASE There are many cases in which foreign officials are brought before national Courts for human rights violations. In all these cases, one of the crucial issues is to determine the extent of immunity from jurisdiction over these individuals. Thus, focusing on the American judicial practice in civil matters, in the present paper we intend to analyze this question and try to glimpse what the future in the matter from the decision taken by the Supreme Court in the Samantar Case.
