Doctor by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with the thesis Teoría geoestadística aplicada al análisis de la variabilidad espacial arqueológica intra-site 2008. Supervised by Dr. Juan Antonio Barceló Álvarez.
I´m a Lecturer invitated in Computational Archaeology & Prehistory at Dept. of Prehistory and Archaeology. Faculty of Geography and History. UNED (Spain). I earned my PhD in 2008 from UAB, Spain, focusing on Geoestatistic over hunter-gatherer intrasite in southern Argentina. I specialize digital tech and quantitative analyses and computational modelling. Afterwards, I've had different post-doctoral positions: 2009-2011Visiting lecturer at CADIC-CONICET Argentina; 2011-2014 Posdoctoral reseach position JdC at III-UC Spain; 2015-2016 Visiting lecturer at UNAM. Facultad Filosogía y Letras. México; 2018-2020 Visiting Professor at ICH-UFPEl Brazil; 2021-2024 Technical position at Dpto. Prehistroria y Arqueología UNED). I´m interesting in synergies between computation science and archaeological problems, main topics: Computational Archaeology, Nonlinear processes on social dynamics in hunter-gatherer-fisher groups, Paleolithic, Historical Archaeology in Latin America, Geoestatistics analysis and Geomatics tools, Data mining, Deep learning, metadata, semantic web and new frames on virtual 3D modelling and printting. My principal areas of research focus on: 1) Computational approaches to archaeology and 2) Interaction between Human-Environmental systems,. I maintain an especial interest in spatial analysis and fuzzy logic modelling, drawing especially on resilence proces and complex systems to understand past human societies. Recently, I have focused on the historical archaeology on Latinamerica areas in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
