Abstract

Background. The educational legislation promulgated in Spain in recent years has tried to favor the inclusion of students from other cultures, giving response to the last migratory movements. But it´s true that the success in the development of any new educational politics is determined by the attitude and response of teachers. Method. Therefore, using a mixed methodology, there has developed a research that there wants to be known the opinion and current attitude of teachers in compulsory education levels of the Autonomous Community of Madrid on educational inclusion of students from other cultures. Results. In general, it has been verified that teachers are quite favorable to their education in ordinary classrooms with supports specialized, using intermediate classrooms in necessary case. Nevertheless, in these results they have found significant differences depending on the educational level of the teachers. Conclusions. Therefore, we can say that the teachers of compulsory education has a positive attitude -though not totally- towards the inclusive education of quality of students from other cultures, though this favorable attitude is significantly minor in the teachers of Secondary Obligatory Education.
