Predicción de los estereotipos académicos ante los estudiantes inmigrantes

Zusammenfassung

This paper intends to test a predictive explanatory model of conceptions related to learning abilities of immigrant students starting from their own immigrant attitudes and their attitudes towards multicultural education. The sample consisted of 740 training teachers aged between 18 and 33. Results show that the individual�s attitude towards human rights and willingness to establish relationships with other immigrants are directly related to the value of multicultural education and, that this type of education, in turn, can predict the attribution of academic stereotypes. We conclude that there is a need for a multicultural education in initial teacher training.
