Resumen

Se analizan los primeros resultados exploratorios sobre el comportamiento del Listado de Síntomas, SCL-90-R (Derogatis, 1983) en una muestra clínica evaluada y tratada en el Servicio de Psicología Aplicada de la UNED. La muestra estuvo constituida por 87 sujetos (60,9% varones y 39,1% mujeres) con una edad media de 36,25 años. Las mujeres evaluadas puntuaron significativamente más en muchas de las escalas, así como en los tres índices de severidad global del autoinforme, en cambio, no aparecieron diferencias por edad. Los resultados hallados muestran propiedades psicométricas adecuadas. El instrumento se ha mostrado sensible al cambio tras la intervención psicológica, sin embargo, el estudio de perfiles y su relativa concordancia con el diagnóstico clínico sugieren la utilización de este instrumento como prueba de despistaje o cribado más que como una prueba diagnóstica.
