Resumen

El estudio de la validez incremental es un importante tópico dentro de la evaluación psicológica pero aún está poco estudiado desde la psicometría. En el presente trabajo, se estudia la validez incremental de la agresión infantil informada por distintas fuentes (niño, compañeros y profesor) sobre la hostilidad y comunicación maternas. La muestra estudiada estuvo constituida por 525 sujetos (41,3 %varones) de edades comprendidas entre 9 y 14 años (M = 12,72 años; DT = 1,57) evaluados a lo largo de tres años consecutivos. Los resultados muestran el claro predominio de la fuente autoinformada frente a la heteroinformada en la predicción de la conducta materna, longitudinalmente estimada. Se discute el efecto artefactual de la fuente y los métodos psicométricos alternativos para una mayor precisión en el estudio de este tipo de validez.
