Abstract

Traditionally, the goal of adaptive educational system (AESs) is supporting students in their learning process. However, students are not alone in their study, since teachers usually guide them. To play their role as facilitators of learning process, teachers need to obtain pedagogically relevant data about the students interaction with the AES gathered thanks to the monitoring of the student´s activities in the AES. Taking this information into account the teacher should be able to intervene in the presentation of the recommendations and learning resources to the students through the AES. In this paper we review the role that the teachers have played in the area of the AESs development. Next we present the experiences carried out with PDinamet, an adaptive educational system directer to the teaching of physics.
