Dos hipótesis sobre la naturaleza y el origen de la firmeza frente al delito a nivel individual: un modelo log - lineal causal con variables latentes

Zusammenfassung
En este estudio se contrastan hipótesis derivadas de la teoría de los sentimientos de inseguridad. A tal fin se han utilizado variables observadas categóricas que han sido analizadas con modelos log-lineales con variables latentes. Los datos proceden del estudio de encuesta del Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas número 2596. En primer lugar se ha replicado el hallazgo de que según los individuos se sienten más inseguros económicamente, también tienden a una mayor firmeza frente al delito. Otras hipótesis se refieren a la medición de los constructos fundamentales de la teoría. En particular, los datos favorecen la existencia de un grupo discreto de individuos firmes frente al delito. Finalmente, se revisa un trabajo que no encontró una relación entre ansiedad económica y punitividad utilizando datos de la Encuesta Social Europea.
