Abstract

This study examines the different pictorial sets exhumed at Bilbilis during more than forty years of excavations. We show a revision and updating of decorations, in situ or infragmentary status, and its relationship to architecture, which allow us to say that painting, in this municipium, was one of the most notorious media of expression, through which we can approach to the ways of life of the people who inhabited the city, from the second half of the century I B.C. to century II A.C
