Resumen

This paper presents a social model of decentralised multiagent co-ordination. We describe the mechanism of structural co-operation, that governs the interaction between the agents comprising a distributed system, and the ProsA agent architecture, so as to operationalise this model. Subsequently, its application to a specific urban traffic management scenario is outlined. Finally, we present a comparative analysis of centralised and descentralised co-ordination architectures on the basics of the lessons learnt from their application to this scenario.
