Abstract
This work presents a novel experience based on the use of remote laboratories in order to create practical activities oriented to the cybersecurity context. To achieve this end, a new platform has been developed to support these activities, consisting of a set of low-cost Internet of Things (IoT) devices and a set of technologies related to the Cloud Computing paradigm. The developed platform is called LoT@UNED, which is seen as a Laboratory of Things. This laboratory is hosted in the department of Control and Communication Systems at the School of Computer Science Engineering in UNED. Specifically, this paper describes the experience carried out and the associated results obtained from its implementation, including the distance methodology during teaching-learning process of the subject employed in here (a fundamental feature of UNED), the modular architecture of LoT@UNED, and the evaluation elements that have been taken into account during the students’ qualification procedure of the subject.
