Zusammenfassung

Using microdata the Wage Structure Survey (WSS) for 2010, 2014 and 2018, and for the industry, wage equations are estimated controlling for worker characteristics (training, experience, immigrant and age); for firms attributes (location, size, markets in which they operate and sector of activity); and for labor relations (temporary contract, part-time, responsibility, type of agreement and occupation). Next, the gender-adjusted wage gap and the technology-adjusted wage gap are calculated. The results indicate that, in the industry, a woman’s salary is 7.3 % lower than a man’s salary and, in 2018, it has remained constant. The technology-adjusted wage gap is very small (at 2.4 %), as the differences are due to the fact that workers in the medium-high technology sectors have more training and experience, and also companies are larger and more export-intensive
