Resumen
Since its inception in 2008, the Massive open online courses (MOOC) are experiencing exponential growth (Pappano, 2012; Siemens, 2012). The objective of this study is to renew our traditional view of university education and the agents involved, rethinking the new roles of teachers in a LMOOC (Language Massive Open Online Courses). For this purpose, we present our own experience as part of the teaching team in the fourth edition of the MOOC “Professional english” (UNED Abierta) integrated in a formal Higher Education environment, as an extension and complement of the curriculum of the subject “English for professional purposes” of 1st course of the degree in Tourism (UNED). Therefore, our research focuses on the different roles and profiles that we have assumed in this course as part of the innovative didactic group for languages in open and blended environments (GLOBE): content curators and facilitators/dynamizers through different channels.
