Abstract

From the works of investigation realized in the last years in the area of the cultural studies we can estimate that still there exists a great weight and echo of the classic authors who have treated the subject matter of the intercultural relations from an optics unidisciplinar. Nowadays, as an attempt of saving some limitations we emphasize the book Cultura y civilización. Un acercamiento desde las ciencias sociales, which author is Sonia Valle de Frutos, constitutes a review of the classic theories on culture and civilization in different disciplines of the social and human sciences.
