Abstract

The objective of this study is to know how the communication tools available in the virtual courses of the UNED are being used. The sample includes eight courses of Social Education at the UNED that has virtual space in the WebCT platform. A descriptive analysis of the use of the communication tools is presented as well as a qualitative and quantitative study of the results. The conclusion of the research is that there is not being an optimal use of neither the debate forums, nor the chats and videoconferences.
