Resum

Las actitudes antiobesos se definen como la evaluación negativa que se realiza de las personas con problemas de peso. La mayoría de los estudios han empleado la Antifat Attitudes Scale (AFA) para medirlas. El objetivo del presente trabajo es adaptar al castellano la citada escala. Para ello se recogieron datos de 1.457 estudiantes universitarios de diferentes ciudades españolas. Los resultados de los análisis factorial exploratorio y confirmatorio muestran que los ítems del cuestionario se ajustan a un modelo de tres factores, correspondientes a las tres dimensiones originales propuestas por el autor (Antipatía, Miedo a la Gordura y Voluntad), que están relacionados entre sí. De acuerdo con estos resultados, se concluye que el cuestionario es metodológicamente válido y que puede ser utilizado por la comunidad científica para medir actitudes antiobesos
