Abstract
La Pedriza de Manzanares represents one of the Parque Nacional Sierra de Guadarrama most emblematic zones. Its granitic whimsical and particular morphology, has given rise to cliffs and rocks with very characteristic forms, which since ancient times have received names according to the forms or figures they represent. In this article it is explained the geological origin and present geomorphological features of the wall named “El Hueso” (“The Bone”). Given the importance of this wall has had to explorers and climbers for more than a century, the article includes a brief review of their first ascents
