Abstract
The article analyses the infuence of the discourse of external actors great powers and international organisations mostly —in two of the cases known as the Color Revolutions: the Rose Revolution in Georgia in 2003 and the Tulip Revolution in Kyrgyzstan in 2005. In particular, the paper examines the infuence of the international actors in the mechanism of category formation within the domestic actors corresponding to the governing coalition —veto players— and the opposition coalition — change players—. It will be studied in detail a reinforcement mechanism to the category formation as it is the certifcation and decertifcation of local actors by international actors, according to the framework to study the dynamics of the political contention present in McAdam et al. (2005).
