Resum

This paper studies the utility of multicriteria decision methods, with special attention to the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), in the assessment of the industrial heritage’s elements. The work analyzes the peculiarities of these assets and the opportunities and problems presented by the use of the most important multicriteria methodologies to be applied in this field. By adapting these methods to the problem of study this work develops a methodology for analysis and evaluation of the identified elements. Moreover, this work continues a previous paper in which a methodology for the identification, selection and classification of immovable properties of industrial type was developed. Work which was presented during the 17th International Congress on Project Management and Engineering, held in July 2013 in Logroño, Spain. Thus, a global approach for the study of these assets is proposed, that goes from their selection and classification to their valuation and protection.
