Abstract
In this paper we analize the figure of Juno Lucina in the monetary coinage of two princesses of the Severe dynasty, Julia Domna and Julia Mammea. The particular iconography, which already appeared at the time of Faustina Minor and Lucilla, is analyzed for this, as well as the historical context of their coinage and its meaning. Juno Lucina seems to have been chosen in this coinage as a deity who personifies dynastic continuity.
