Abstract
This book offers us the possibility of learning to "do sociology". Written in 1972 as the result of a three-year doctoral research (1964-1967), it is a true introduction to the Sociology of Deviance and an ethnographic manual that provides evidence of a lasting thesis. Popular Demons by Stanley Cohen never disappeared from Sociology, but its translation into Spanish in 2017, within the framework of the cultural turn that affects Criminology, as it has been going through the Social Sciences since the nineties, could not be more pertinent, as it attends to the construction of enemies and threats to society.
