Résumé
Abstract The main objective of this research is to see if the application of the modified Mindfulness based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program is effective in reducing many of the psychological symptoms that occur during perimenopause. To this end, we have conducted a study with two groups of 40 healthy perimenopausal women, an experimental group with an average age of 46.7 and a standard deviation (SD) of 4.2 and a control group with an average age of 46.9 and a SD of 4.9. To obtain the data we have used the Cervantes Scale of quality of life in menopause (α of Cronbach = 0.9092) and in order to objectively determine the level of emotional activation of all participants in each group we proceeded to the measurement of various psychophysiological variables such as heart rate, respiratory, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. The Marquette Hellige Solar 8000 was used for this purpose. The results obtained showed the existence of statistical significance for all the dependent variables analyzed in the experimental group, which allowed us to affirm that the treatment applied, in our case MBSR, significantly improves the psychological well-being of women during the period of perimenopause, and consequently, also their quality of life, in general terms. Keywords: perimenopause, MBSR, Cervantes Scale, psychophysiological measures, psychological symptoms.
