Resumen
The aim of this work is, first, to briefly expose the problem of the notion of “belief” in Ortega y Gasset’s philosophy, with a special focus on the internal tension that this concept exhibits in his work as a whole. Secondly, to succinctly expose two critical notes of Manuel Granell that invite us to review Orteguian theory of belief; thirdly, and as a conclusion, to offer a critical reflection on the meaning of a “Logic of the vital reason” as conceived within the School of Madrid and vindicated by Granell in the fourth and last part of his Logic.
