Abstract

Address is an issue that has been awaking a large interest among scholars in the last years, especially from a pragmatic point of view. This paper is an approach to the matter of Address regarding pronouns in Aragonese, a scarcely studied diasystem regarding this topic. We will focus mainly on the form vós having remarkable and exclusive features, including some references to the medieval language. This is a contrastive study, which involves that Aragonese is compared with the rest of Iberian languages within the framework of Functional Categorial Grammar and its use of tagging as a tool to mark out deixis and other phenomena concerning Address at both pragmatic and grammatical levels.
