Abstract
The Royal Entries in the capital of the kingdom (Madrid) are the way in which the monarch visually manifests himself before his subjects. It is a festive element in which the ornament, the decoration and the ceremonial will be put at the service of creating an image for the new sovereign. In the case of Fernando VII, the entries also acquire a legitimizing element, since through them the sovereign takes the pulse of the population about the system of government that it is willing to admit.
