Zusammenfassung

Colomer (1979) realizes the need for the methodological contribution of the discipline and the practical connection of casework, group work and community evelopment. In this article, a foreground is given to case social work and a leading role is given to the original training of case social work in Spain, which was received by Nadir Gouvéa Kfouri (1965), to know the methodological attributes. The present objective is to bring the fundamental aspects of this methodology to the present moment to account for its rigorous relevance. In the first place, the social work of cases is conceptualized; secondly, it is contextualized from the contribution of Kfouri; and lastly, the newest paradigms of social work are presented in connection with the essential aspects of social work of cases. It concludes with the affirmation of the need to bear in mind that the essential methodological elements are transversal and timeless in the practice of social work.
