Abstract

Equatorial Guinea was a spanish colony until 1968, a past that despite their proximity, is still unknown for the citizens. During the years of the colony and the provincial time, two groups of settlers, monopolized by catalans, led the civilizing and entrepreneurial vanguard, also developing a key role in the axis of colonial policies. According to this approach, this article aims to make an approach to the origins and history of both groups, the evangelizer and business during the period 1900-1968, to try to bring the ups and downs of the Catalan colonial past.
