Zusammenfassung
The situation of the reproductive rights in Latin America is the fundamental point of this article. It analyzes the internal and external factors that not allow the complete emergence of this kind of liberties for the women. The object of analysis is, at the one hand, the role of Catholic Church and its positions about this rights extension; and in the other hand, the governments´ attitudes in order to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. The balance, at the moment, is not encouraging.
