Abstract
The current paper explores psychological sequelaes the Mar 11 terorist attack in Madrid City five years after. The sample was constituted by 26 victims (58% girls; mean age = 45.46 years, SD = 8.77). Assesment was conducted by therapist of Psychological Service of university UNED, who carry out the assessment in the victim´s house. After reported consent was provided, we explored, by a semi-structured protocol, the psychopathological symptoms (specially, postraumatic symptoms), and the level of adaptation. This protocol included an interview, self-reports, and rating scales. Results show close to 90% of victims had a clinic syndrome, mainly anxiety disorders (53% PTSD). Victims reported adaptation problems in different contexts: personal, social and job. Given the presence of aftermath over time, a proper intervention of health services are necessary.
