Resum

Discovered in 1988, the archaeological site of the rock shelter of Jarama VI (Valdesotos, Guadalajara) was excavated in the last third of the 20th century. It contains an archeosedimentary sequence with musterienses levels and bone remains of Homo neanderthalensis with an age greater than 50 ka (Kehl et al., 2013) and an interstratified fluvial deposit between occupation levels (Jordá Pardo, 2007). The purpose of this work is to present the results of our latest research in the Jarama VI site developed in the field of Digital Geoarchaeology (Siart, Forbriger and Bubenzer, Eds., 2018), aimed at digital reconstruction and spatial analysis of its archaeological record, both at the site scale (intrasite) and the Jarama canyon scale (extrasite). Therefore, our work focuses on the application of new information technologies to the analysis and interpretation of the geo-archaeological record of the Musterian site with Neanderthal remains of the rock shelter of Jarama VI, which also allows the conservation, safeguarding and centralized storage of all the existing information about the deposit in analog formats through its conversion to digital format.
