Abstract
One of the main phenomena to avoid in systems sampled with fixed threshold samplers is the appearance of limit cycle oscillations. There is extensive literature on how to avoid them using classical analysis techniques, however, these works do not take into account the effect of the signals involved in the loop on the robustness of the system. This paper presents a methodology that allows the controller to dynamically retune itself to avoid limit cycle oscillations generated by ramp-type disturbances.
