Abstract

There is a clear turning point in the application of foreign law in Spain, and this is observed with the Partidas of Alfonso X El Sabio open a window to the application of foreign law to certain cases. The distinguished jurist Jacobo de las Leyes occupied a particular place in this work and still today his work is studying and guiding the explanation of the legal solutions that are applied today. This work will include a presentation of the rules that were set out in the sections on proof of foreign law and how some of their budgets are maintained in European and Spanish private international law in the second decade of the 21st century.
