Resumen
Hecuba, who despite being an old woman and a war prize, actively participates in the dramatic action alongside the chorus of Trojan women in the face of the Greek overlord Agamemnon’s inability to implement the just atonement for the impiety they have received. Euripides, in his tragedy Hecuba, not only gives voice to those women, but also gives them the possibility, as true protagonists, to be endowed with the ability to actively carry out the just punishment for the treachery they have received from the Thracian king Polymestor.
