Abstract

This article aims to expose the commitment to the sustainability of the institutions of the Economic and Monetary Union, with special attention to the production and circulation of cash, which is where the greatest ecological impact occurs. For this reason, with the application of environmental management tools that range from more ecological materials, life cycle analysis, or calculation of the carbon footprint, is intended to guarantee the safety of citizens who use banknotes in their daily lives and the workers who participate in making these.
