Abstract
Spain lacks a specific and explicit regulatory framework to regulate electoral debates. Despite this, since the 1990s, some of them have been held with remarkable audience success. The article describes its current regulatory forecast both at the national and regional level and analyzes six possible legal-political challenges that should be considered in the necessary legal reformulation that is postulated from these lines.
