Abstract
This study examines the relationship between two inventories measuring granger as a construct, the Novaco Anger Inventory (AI), and the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI). Both inventories were administered to a sample of university students. Significant gender differences were found in all the scale except in the STAXI scales Anger Reaction, Anger Control and Anger Out. Women get mean scores higher than men except in the Anger in Scale. In both inventories, mean scores for this sample are similar to those obtained by other authors. Significant positive correlations are found between the AI scale and the STAXI scales. Anger Trait, Anger Out, and Anger Expression, as well as significant negative correlations between AI and the Anger in scale. All in all, it appears that the Novaco Anger Scale measures mores aspects of the anger emotion
