Resumen

The study of the ethical-socio-cultural curriculum that we are presenting takes the form of its justification and rationale, by defining the main bases from which to construct, innovate and evaluate it. The bases and principles that we have identified in order to present its relevance and actuality are the following: social communication, civic-cultural training, dialogue and en-counter between cultures and ethics-axiology, which we have enriched with the principles of complexity, glocalisation, inclusion, creativity, collaboration and dialogic, which have charac-terised this curricular approach. The intense and wide-ranging debate with PhD Baldacci and team has completed the horizon of civic-social education and ordered the values to be formed in and from the most relevant reference research, establishing a hierarchy of values through a committed and relevant sample of educational agents, who point out the intellectual, social, moral, practical/useful, affective, instrumental values, which synthesize the main ones that have been considered relevant for presentation in school curricular projects and have been conso-lidated as the generators and orientators of the ethical-socio-cultural curriculum required and essential for the integral education of today’s citizen. It is considered necessary for teachers to study the importance and relevance of the ethical-cultural curriculum in order to advance in comprehensive education from a systemic, transformative perspective that is attentive to the new citizen, the main architect of an inclusive, collaborative society that recognizes the com-plexity and challenge of globalization
