Resumo
The story of Secundino Delgado Rodríguez is an example of the close ties that the Canarian working class shared with the working class in the territories of Havana and Tampa, Florida. To avoid military service, as he had already been called up, the Tenerife native decided to emigrate to work as a tobacco worker in Havana, where he ended up joining the anarchist independence movements that had gained strength due to the economic crisis, which was reflected in the precarious living conditions of the working class.
