Abstract

The construction of professional development is a process of didactic-epistemological maturity that involves making progress in competencies, while at the same time providing theories and models that consolidate their understanding, reflection on the ways of creating knowledge, as well as the opportunity to advance in the practical and professional knowledge that is generated as a line of learning and comprehensive improvement. The project has provided each teacher with the bases, knowledge and practical experiences that have enabled them to become aware of the most relevant objectives, methods and tasks which, in their understanding and application, will enable them to take on the profound challenge of their own professional development. The teaching staff have appreciated that, by advancing in each competence, their professional performance and teaching practice have improved the atmosphere and extended the support of the Institution to each of the teachers involved in the programme, with emphasis on the recognition of the catalytic role of those in the first year of the University.
