Resum
In recent years there has been a demographic inversion characterized by a marked increase in the number of people over 65 years of age. This fact poses social, health, cultural and economic challenges, which highlight the need to apply strategies aimed at improving aging conditions among the population. The objective of this work was to carry out a critical review of studies evaluating social interventions that were implemented in various geographical contexts with the aim of promoting healthy aging in older adult population. For this, a bibliographic search was performed, resulting in the selection of ten articles published during the last decade, which were analyzed based on their descriptive and methodological elements, the calculation of their post hoc statistical power, and the degree of ompliance of the following quality indicators: relevance, adequacy, innovation, applicability, transferability, equality and ethics. It is concluded that, in accordance with the weaknesses found in the studies analyzed, further research is required in the design, implementation and evaluation of programs aimed at promoting healthy aging.
