La monstruosidad en el universo artístico de Marilyn Mansonun estudio diacrónico

Resumo

The study makes a chronological analysis from the classical era to the contemporary one, analyzing the presence of the pillars of monstrosity - otherness - and how this is reflected in the artistic spectrum of Marilyn Manson, including both analysis of the discourse of song lyrics, as well as the performativity on stage and in the artists music videos. As it is a culturally dependent concept, the analysis of monstrosity is transversal in nature, so the different historical periods, socio-political and philosophical conflicts and artistic movements that reflect otherness in the artist are contemplated.
