Resumen

The research is situated within the framework of teaching literature in secondary education. It focuses particularly on the development of ethical reasoning in adolescents through the work with excerpts from classic or contemporary texts. To accomplish this, in the first place the study conducts a review of existing research on literature instruction, ethics education in secondary school, and the potential connections that can be established between them. Next, a PEDAGOGICAL MODEL is developed, grounded in fifteen sample units. This model includes the selection of various literary fragments and the proposed activities for both teachers and students within a classroom dialogue context. Finally, a predominantly qualitative investigation is presented, in which several teachers, associated with the fields of Literature or Values Education, are surveyed to assess the relevance and suitability of this material. Additionally, the study shares the data collected during the implementation of the proposal in a school in Valencia, with a group of 3rd ESO students. The results confirm the potential of the proposed model for the development of literary education, ethical reasoning and the dialogic skills of the students.
