Rubén Heradio has taught at the Spanish National University Based on Distance Learning (UNED) for more than twenty years. At this university, he has developed his entire academic career, culminating in the Full Professor category (Catedrático de Universidad) in 2022. His research is oriented in two directions fundamentally: software product line engineering and educational technologies to support distance learning. He usually works with international researchers, such as Alexander Egyed and Christoph Mayr-Dorn from Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria) and Don Batory from the University of Texas (USA). In this regard, he has carried out 5 post-doctoral research stays at Oxford University (UK, 2 months), the Software Engineering Institute (Carnegie Mellon University, USA, 1.5 months), and Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria, 3 stays that add up 9 months).
