Doctor por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid con la tesis Contribución al estudio, caracterización y desarrollo del sector europeo de las comunicaciones móviles e internet móvil 2005. Dirigida por Dr/a. Claudio Feijoo González, Dr/a. Jorge Martín Pérez.

Since the completion of my MSc. and PhD. Telecommunications Engineering studies at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), my career has been linked to three main areas of activity: Telecom Industry, Music Business and Artists' Neighbouring Rights, and Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. I began my activity as a researcher and assistant professor studying the deployment of mobile communication networks and the development of the mobile Internet, from the launch of the first 3G networks to the present moment in which the communication systems are moving towards the implementation of 5G. The study of this has been carried out from a multidisciplinary approach in which techno-economic aspects are combined, with a predominant focus on the impact of the gradual deployment of infrastructures and the demand for services associated with them, together with the development of business models, viable and sustainable over time, and the regulatory aspects of the telecommunications market and public policies in the field of the Information Society. As a postdoctoral researcher at UPM after defending my thesis in 2005 on the development of mobile Internet in Europe, I joined the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid as full-time tenure professor for the years 2006 and 2007. After that I moved to the private sector for five years during which I was able to apply my knowledge of mobile communications in different sectoral professional organizations, which I combined with my activity as a researcher. In 2012 I joined the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences at UNED, position that I combine with my research activities and entrepreneurial projects. Currently involved in: - Exploring new learning methods and beautiful contents for potential entrepreneurs through online educational platforms. - Empowering artists to make better decisions along their careers based on data, information, knowledge and education. - Supporting the digital transformation process of collective management organizations within the music industry. - Researching on the development of entrepreneurial competences through educational programs, the study of entrepreneurial ecosystems to understand the inner dynamics of agents participating, and the impact of disruptive technologies in the music industry.
