Doctor by the Universidad de Alcalá with the thesis Interrelación entre nanoestructura y dinámica en materia condensada blanda polímeros frente a compuestos de bajo peso molecular 2005. Supervised by Dr. Tiberio Antonio Ezquerra Sanz, Dr. Aurora Nogales Ruiz.

Research in polymer physics and glassy/disordered materials. Interested in topics such as the glass transition, phase transitions in organic systems, dynamics and structure in the temperature–pressure plane, as well as structure–property relationships in polymeric matter — all from an experimental perspective. Currently engaged in research and teaching at the Faculty of Sciences of UNED as a tenured faculty member.
