Abstract

The subject of Mathematics I, in the Business Administration Grade in the UNED, is studied in the first semester of its first course. It is a subject with a very high rate of students, due to the strong demand for this Grade. This fact, considering also that there are only two teachers for the subject, force these teachers to follow a special organization of the different tasks in order to get suitable results. The target of this paper is to describe the “teaching management” of the subject, emphasizing those features caused by the fact of being a distance subject. Also, we list the difficulties coming from the fact of the high rate of students, and explain some possible solutions to solve them.
