Resumen

Different online distance education and blended learning experiences have used the "Community of Inquiry model" (CoI), created in the late 90' in Athabasca University in Canada, as a framework for research and analysis. Courses developed in distance mode or in online environments are conceived as "communities of inquiry", which represent the process of creation, by the teachers, of deep and significant learning experiences (colaborative-constructive) through the development of three interdependent dimensions: the social, cognitive and teaching presences. In a teaching innovation project financed by the Vicerectorate for Methodology and Innovation at UNED, from march to december of 2018, we are analyzing the educational practices in 25 undergraduate and master courses taught at UNED using the CoI model as a frame, in order to undertake changes based in the CoI model that can improve student support and reduce drop-out rates.
