Resumen
En este artículo se revisan las principales aportaciones que en los últimos años ha hecho la sociología al estudio de la desigualdad en las empresas. Cabe distinguir dos enfoques: el de los regímenes de desigualdad (análisis meso) y el de las decisiones selectivas de las empresas (análisis micro). La investigación sociológica ha puesto de relieve que, incluso cuando relajan las jerarquías verticales y apuestan por la meritocracia, las empresas afrontan obstáculos importantes para reducir la desigualdad que generan en su seno. La investigación y difusión de estas cuestiones podría contribuir a mejorar la calidad y la eficiencia de la gestión empresarial
