Abstract

At an educational level, and within the world of videogames, the strategy category stands out, which in its PC version has a much greater depth and development than for other platforms. Within this class we find titles that are not only concerned with historical correctness, but also offer us important educational possibilities when it comes to transmitting historical content to students. All this has motivated our field research, to try to discover the most relevant and appropriate for a university classroom. Games that also stand out because their dynamics emphasize economic management, construction, trade, product development or resource management. In many cases, all this is framed within an environment in which players must make political and economic decisions, while at the same time taking care of the economy in order to obtain the maximum objective of the strategy's genre: to impose themselves on their opponents.
