Very often we are not able to value the social advance due to thescientific-technological development, neither the problems that it alsooriginates. The scientific alphabetisation of citizens becomes necessary inorder they acquire a critical conscience of those aspects and could takedecisions about it. Thus the scientific culture must be taken into accountin the teaching process, as an important factor in the scientific educationof students. In this way, we present here a teacher continuing trainingcourse that consists of several themes related with culture and chemistry,discussing teaching strategies for the classroom to reach the scientificeducation of students in that direction.
